Jon Hopkins, Music for Psychedelic Therapy

On Friday 27 November at 20:00, the album is played in full inside the ANDETAG installation in central Stockholm. 60 minutes, 25 places.

Hopkins recorded part of this album in the Tayos caves in Ecuador and built the rest around those room tones. It is almost entirely without drums, unusual for him, moving instead in long tones and water. The final track carries the voice of Ram Dass.

ANDETAG was made to be an inward journey. In the same way, Jon Hopkins wrote this album to act as a guide on exactly that kind of journey. Hopkins was one of the sources Gustaf Tadaa and Povel Olsson drew on when they wrote the music for ANDETAG, and an obvious choice for a listening evening.
