Listening Evenings
One whole album, start to finish

ANDETAG Listening Evenings are ten Friday evenings this autumn, when one album is played in full inside the installation in central Stockholm, through four wall-mounted hi-fi loudspeakers from dotAudio. 25 places each evening.

The audience listens together, surrounded by the work's slow light and a shared breath. Each album is chosen for its ability to hold presence, depth, and one continuous journey.

This is not a concert, and not a light show driven by music. It is a meeting between an existing artwork, an album, and an audience listening together.

On the evenings whose album runs shorter than 60 minutes, ANDETAG’s own music carries on afterwards for anyone who would like to stay a little longer.

How an evening unfolds

The exhibition is open beforehand, and we encourage you to come early. Move through the room at your own pace first, and let the evening begin there.

How you listen is up to you: seated or lying down. There are cushions, blankets and a soft mat. The light keeps its own rhythm, just as it does on an ordinary visit.

When the last track fades, the room stays quiet for a while before the evening ends.

The sound: dotAudio Walle

The sound comes from four dotAudio Walle, developed and tested in Norrtälje by a small team whose background runs from speaker cabinets to years of live sound engineering. A full-range, two-way system engineered to deliver exceptional sound in an ultra-slim profile: an 8 inch woofer and crisp highs from a panel 9.5 cm thick in Baltic birch plywood, reaching from 29 Hz up to 20 kHz.

The panels are passive and run on the Walle Amp, which dotAudio calls the perfect match for the Walle and names as its only amplifier.

Practical information

  • Ten Fridays, 9 October to 11 December, at 20:00.
  • 25 places each evening.
  • Doors open 15 to 30 minutes before. No late admission once the album has started.
  • One album per evening, played in full. The evening lasts as long as the record.
  • Cushions, blankets and a soft mat are provided.
  • Price: 280 SEK. Full price only, no youth or child tickets.
  • Location: ANDETAG, Kungsgatan 39, Hötorget metro station, Stockholm.
  • Please note: the sound of the breath from the installation stays present at low volume in the background. We think it enhances the experience.
