Björk, Vespertine

An album built from microbeats, small crackling sounds cut from everyday life, set against harp, celesta and choir. Björk described it as music for the home and for headphones, made to be heard close up rather than in a concert hall. It arrived in 2001 and still sounds like someone whispering directly into your ear.

Björk is a voice that deserves genuinely good loudspeakers. This album is full of small crisp sounds and suggestive rhythms, a landscape unfolding inside ANDETAG's glowing cave.
