BT, This Binary Universe

On Friday 30 October at 20:00, the album is played in full inside the ANDETAG installation in central Stockholm. 74 minutes, 25 places.

BT is Brian Transeau, a producer who came up through trance and film scoring. With This Binary Universe (2006) he left the dance floor for long form: seven tracks across 74 minutes, built around a 110-piece orchestra whose recordings are cut apart and reassembled, circuit-bent toys, and one track written entirely in the programming language Csound. The record shipped with a DVD giving every track its own short film in 5.1.

Detailed electronic long form, where the organic, the orchestral and the digital keep turning into one another. Seven tracks that hold together as a single stretch, with enough detail in them to want a room and a system rather than a pair of headphones.
